Product Description The Haier HLT71 portable LCD TV gives you the ability to enjoy your favorite television programs anywhere, any time--in your home or away. Watch the morning news without having to get out of bed, or while sun bathing in the back yard. Does someone else have dibs on the TV room? Pull out your HLT71, and you've got your own TV room. This handy little portable TV has a 7-inch LCD screen that switches between a 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio. It has a built-in ATSC/NTSC tuner with detachable antenna enabling you to receive crisp reception of your favorite channels - even after the digital-to-analog switch in June 2009. The HLT71 connects to other devices with an audio/video jack and coaxial output. Watch with others using the built-in twin speaker system, or plug your headphones into the included jack to enjoy your favorite programs without disturbing those around you. The rechargeable Li-polymer battery offers up to 2.5-hours of life between charges -- enough time to watch an entire movie or several episodes of your favorite show without a recharge. The HLT71 includes an AC power adapter, a car adapter and a Remote Control.

Good little portable TV August 30, 2010 Peter Koziar (Owings Mills, MD USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It works great. Rather than use the whip antenna it came with, I had an old set of "rabbit ears" sitting around the house and it works great with it. It receives all our local stations, and we're about 10-20 miles away from the station. The only thing that needs improvement is the user interface, which is a bit more primitive than you'd expect in the 21st century, and it makes it a little hard to understand what to do sometimes.
buen equipo August 26, 2010 andres 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
El equipo es bastante comodo y practico, se deberia mejorar wireless reception y agregar una una cubierta que proteja la pantalla
Really Super Little TV! August 10, 2010 Donald D. Swaim (New York City) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had an old Radio Shack TV, it was a 2 1/2 inch screen and it worked pretty well before they changed to digital. I had a 24 inch Gateway monitor and it had picture in picture (pip) and after 3 years the monitor finished working. So, I got this great deal on a 27 inch LG monitor/TV. But, it had no pip. I like watching TV while I work on my computer. So, I was using the 2 1/2 inch Radio Shack TV with my cable plugged into it (via cable box), I put it on channel 3 and got all the channels through the cable. But, the screen was just too small.
I was doing some research on small TV's with a larger screen, I found the Haier and did a lot of research on it, I decided to get it brand new with free shipping on eBay for $49. I opened the box and I could see it was a high end TV. I plugged it in, screwed on the antenna and I could not believe how rich and clear the channels were just from using the antenna. I thought it was hooked to a high def cable box. Plus, it had sub stations, like channel 7 (ABC) ch7-1, ch7-2, etc; It was incredible. After I tested it with the antenna, I brought it over to my computer and screwed in my coaxial cable from the cable box (using a splitter) and put it in ch 3 and all the stations came in high def and clear, it was exactly what I was looking for. Being my cable box has RCA plugs 1 yellow (for the picture), 1 red, 1 white (for the sound), I decided to use the RCA plugs instead of a coaxial cable, then I plugged in a spare set of computer speakers in the headphone jack and I could not be happier. If I could give it 10 starts I would. Being I live in New York City, I can pick up stations minus the cable connection. Overall, it is a great set and it cost half for what I paid for my 2 and a half inch Radio Shack TV. I got lucky on the price and the free shipping and I have a warranty on top. This is a great little TV!!
