| Customer Reviews: battery operated tv for emergency use February 10, 2010 K. Collins (Maryland) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I got this to replace an old battery operated TV. While the battery power for this is more limited - battereis only last about 90 minutes - its proven very valuable as a small portable tv. I'm a nurse currently snowed in at work. This gives me a way to keep up with the outside world during my off-duty times. The picture is great. It was remarkably easy to set up. I get a fairly good selection of stations from home and work in the DC/Baltimore metro area.
Pretty Nice TV November 12, 2009 fx1mark (USA) 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
I have had this tv for two weeks now and I am pretty happy with it. It has a good picture, good color, good screen resolution. reception is good in my area, about equal to other digital recievers I have used. the antenna, which is a little nub, is worthless. you will need some rabbit ears. the menu system is easy to navigate and understand. the pop-out stand on the back is flimsy and will be prone to breaking off, it is also not adjustable. the channel menu is very nice, showing what was, is and will be coming on selected channel, with a description of the show. the battery life is about an hour and fifty minutes. I have had problems with the card slot and usb interface. I called viore customer service but what they told me was no help whatsoever, I wanted to share my findings so that it may help others with this. the card slot easily reads mp3's and jpg's but I could not get a video to play. I finally managed to get it sorted out. the file needs to be .AVI container and DIVX codec. I used a piece of software called SUPER. select those settings, drag the video file into super and press encode. a popup comes up and select DIVX again. this Is working great for me. as for the usb port. I have a thumb drive formatted FAT32 that it works fine with. nothing else I plug into it has worked. I assume it only recognises a drive formated FAT32. If anyone can add to this info please do.
Overall I am happy with this TV. I t is a good value for the money.
